MVO for Queen’s Equerry

Her Majesty the Queen has appointed Wing Commander Samuel Fletcher a Member of the Royal Victorian Order (MVO) for his service as Equerry to Her Majesty.

Her Majesty The Queen Revokes Corrupt Servant’s MVO

Her Majesty The Queen has decreed that the following person shall have their Honour cancelled, annulled and their name shall be erased from the Register of the Royal Victorian Order.

Mr Ronald Clifford Harper to be stripped of an MVO awarded on 31st December 2004 after being convicted of two counts of conspiracy to make corrupt payments. He was sentenced to five years in Prison.

New Deputy Lieutenant of Dyfed

Sara Edwards, Lord-Lieutenant of Dyfed has commissioned the following person to become a Deputy Lieutenant of Dyfed.

Her Majesty The Queen has decreed that the following persons shall have their Honour cancelled, annulled and their name shall be erased from the Register of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire.

Mr Lee Anthony Bushill to be stripped of an MBE awarded on 31st December 2004.

Mr Robert Neville James Constable to be stripped of an MBE awarded on 1st January 1975 after being convicted of 15 charges of indecent assault, three charges of indecency with a child and five charges of sexual assault. The offences took place between 1993 and October 2015. He was sentenced to a total of thirteen years and six months in prison.

Mr Adrian Lee Stone to be stripped of an MBE awarded on 16th June 2012 after being convicted of six charges of sexual assault on children. He was sentenced to a total of 40 months in prison.

Mr Robert Stanley Poots to be stripped of an MBE awarded on 31st December 2010 after being convicted of 14 charges including fraud by false representation, false accounting and forgery. The offences took place between October 2006 and November 2011. He was sentenced to an 18-month suspended prison sentence.

Mr Craig Martin Burrows to be stripped of an MBE awarded on 31st December 2004 after being convicted of six charges of indecent assault and three counts of indecency with a child. He was sentenced to five years in prison.

Mr Philip Anthony Knight to be stripped of an OBE awarded on 16th June 2001.

Mr Robert Lovegrove to be stripped of an MBE awarded on 13th June 1998.

Mr Patrick Robert John Rock to be stripped of an OBE awarded on 31st December 1992 after being convicted of five charges of downloading indecent images of Children. He was sentenced to a two-year conditional discharge.

Ms Philippa Ann Rodale to be stripped of an MBE awarded on 29th December 2007 after being convicted of animal welfare offences. She was ordered to pay the RSPCA £4000 and £535 in court fees.

Mr Paul Symonds to be stripped of an OBE awarded on 29th December 2007 after allegations that Mr Symonds sexual abused children whilst he was an active Roman Catholic priest. He has since retired and no criminal charges were brought against him.

Queen Appoints Two New Extra Ladies in Waiting

Her Majesty the Queen has appointed Lady Elizabeth Leeming and Mrs Simon Rhodes to be Extra Ladies in Waiting to Her Majesty’s household.

The role of Ladies in Waiting is to assist the Queen in undertaking duties and manging the Queen’s correspondence.

Lady Elizabeth Leeming is the daughter of the 17th Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorne and a maternal cousin to the Queen.

Mrs Simon Rhodes is the wife of Simon Rhodes son of The Hon. Margaret Rhodes LVO a maternal cousin to the Queen.

Life Peerage for Scottish MEP

Her Majesty The Queen has granted Mr Ian James Duncan MEP the title of Baron Duncan of Springbank, of Springbank in the County of Perth for the duration of his life under the Life Peerage Act of 1958.

Mr Duncan was nominated for a Life Peerage by the Prime Minister following his appointment to the Government as Parliamentary Under-Secretary for the Scottish and Welsh Offices.

As Mr Duncan is not a Member of Parliament (MP) he has to be appointed to the House of Lords so he can take his role in the Government.

Lord Duncan of Springbank will sit in the House of Lords on behalf of the Conservative Party.

King of Spain Honours British Royals
