King of Norway's Daugther Announces Engagement

On the 7th June 2022, HRH Princess Märtha Louise of Norway, eldest child of King Harald V of Norway and his wife Queen Sonja (nee Haraldsen) has announced her engagement to her boyfriend Mr Durek Verrett (born 1974).

Princess Märtha Louise has previously married in 2002 to Mr Ari Behn and has three children. The Princess and Mr Behn divorced in 2017 and sadly in 2019, Mr Behn took his own life.

Mr Verrett has also been married before to Miss Zaneta Marzalkova from 2005 till they divorced in 2009.

Their Majesties The King and Queen of Norway and Their Royal Highnesses The Crown Prince and Princess of Norway offered their congratulations and best wishes to the couple in an official press release.

Carl, Duke of Württemberg (1st August 1936 – 7th June 2022)

Carl, Duke of Württemberg, Head of the House of Württemberg passed away on the 7th June 2022. Son of Philipp Albrecht, Duke of Württemberg (1893 – 1975) and his second wife Archduchess Rosa of Austria (1906 – 1983) 

On the 21st July 1960, Carl married  Princess Diane d'Orléans (born 1940) daughter of Henri, Count of Paris (1908 – 1999) and his wife Princess Isabelle of Orléans-Braganza (1911 – 2003).

They have six children, four sons and two daughters. He became Head of the House of Württemberg when his father died 1975. 

Carl, Duke of Württemberg  has been succeeded by his grandson Duke Wilhelm Friedrich von Württemberg (born 1994) as Head of the House of Württemberg. 

Wilhelm is the son of Duke Friedrich of Württemberg (1961 – 2018) and Princess Wilhelmine of Wied (born 1973) Wilhelm's father died in a car accident in 2018. Wilhelm's heir is his uncle Duke Eberhard of Württemberg.

Service of Thanksgiving to Celebrate The Platinum Jubilee of Her Majesty The Queen

On the 3rd of June 2022, a service of thanksgiving was held at St Paul's Cathedral to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee. The Bidding was given by The Very Reverend Dr David Ison, Dean of St Paul's Cathedral. The Collect was given by The Right Reverend and Right Honourable Dame Sarah Mullally DBE,  Lord Bishop of London and Dean of Her Majesty’s Chapels Royal. 

Readings were conducted by Canon Dr Paula Gooder and the Prime Minister of the UK, The Right Honourable Boris Johnson MP. The Sermon was given by The Most Reverend and Right Honourable Stephen Cottrell, Lord Archbishop of York. The Right Reverend and Right Honourable Lord Bishop of London gave the Blessing.

The congregation consisted of the Royal Family, the Prime Minister, The Rt Hon. Boris Johnson MP and his wife Mrs Carrie Johnson

Former UK Prime Ministers: The Rt Hon. Sir John Major KG and his wife Dame Norma Major DBE, The Rt Hon. Sir Tony Blair KG and his wife Lady Blair CBE QC, The Rt Hon. New Grandson of the late King Hassan II of Morocco

His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid of Morocco and Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Oum Kalthoum have had a second child. A baby boy named Moulay Abdeslam, born 1st June 2022. Prince Moulay Rachid and Princess Lalla Oum Kalthoum married in 2014, they had their first child HRH Prince Moulay Ahmed in 2016.

HRH Prince Moulay Rachid is the youngest child of King Hassan II of Morocco and Princess Consort Lalla Latifa Amahzoune. He is second in the line of succession to the Moroccan throne behind his nephew The Crown Prince of Morocco. The new born Prince Moulay Abdeslam is fourth in line to the throne.
