Life Peerage for Former Chief of Staff to the Deputy Prime Minister

Mr Jonathan Oates has been granted the title of Baron Oates, of Denby Grange in the County of West Yorkshire. Under the Life Peerage Act 1958 and will sit in the House of Lords as a Liberal Democrat.
