Life Peerage for the Former MP for Brentwood and Ongar

Her Majesty The Queen has granted The Right Honourable Sir Eric Jack Pickles the title of Baron Pickles, of Brentwood and Ongar in the County of Essex for the duration of his life under the Life Peerage Act of 1958.

He was nominated for a Life Peerage following his service as a Member of Parliament. Lord Pickles will sit in the House of Lords for the Conservative Party.

UK State Visit for The King and Queen of the Netherlands

Her Majesty the Queen will host a state visit for Their Majesties The King and Queen of the Netherlands from 23rd to 24th October 2018. The King and Queen of the Netherlands will stay at Buckingham Palace. The visits itinerary is expected at a future date.
