Life Peerage for Socialist Campaigner

Her Majesty The Queen has granted Ms Martha Otito Osamor the title of Baroness Osamor, of Tottenham in the London Borough of Haringey and of Asaba in the Republic of Nigeria for the duration of her life under the Life Peerage Act of 1958.

She was nominated for a Life Peerage following her work as a Socialist Campaigner. Baroness Osamor will sit in the House of Lords for the Labour Party.

Life Peerage for the Former General Secretary of the Labour Party

Her Majesty The Queen has granted Mr Iain Mackenzie McNicol the title of Baron McNicol of West Kilbride, of West Kilbride in the County of Ayrshire for the duration of his life under the Life Peerage Act of 1958.

He was nominated for a Life Peerage following his service as General Secretary of the Labour Party. Lord McNicol of West Kilbride will sit in the House of Lords for the Labour Party.
