Life Peerage for the Chancellor of the University of Essex

Ms Sharmishta Chakrabarti CBE has been granted the title of Baroness Chakrabarti, of Kennington in the London Borough of Lambeth. Under the Life Peerage Act 1958 and will sit in the House of Lords for the Labour Party.
