Life Peerage for Chief Executive of TalkTalk

The Hon. Diana Mary Harding has been granted the title of Baroness Harding of Winscombe, of Nether Compton in the County of Dorset. Under the Life Peerage Act 1958 and will sit in the House of Lords as a Conservative.

Queen Revokes Headmaster’s Knighthood

The Queen has accepted the Honours Forfeiture Committee’s advice regarding the cancellation and annulment of the honour awarded to the following person.

Alan Seymour Davies is to be stripped of his Knighthood awarded on the 22nd February 2000 after being convicted of multiply counts of false accounting. He was given a 12-month sentence which has been suspended for two years.

Baby girl for Princess Madeleine of Sweden

Princess Madeleine, Duchess of Hälsingland and Gästrikland gave birth to a baby girl on the 20th February 2014 at 10:41pm (EST) in New York, USA. Her husband Christopher O’Neill was at the birth.

The baby‘s name and Title is to be announced by her grandfather King Carl XVI Gustaf

Princess Madeleine and Christopher O’Neill KNO were married in Stockholm on the 8th June 2013.

New Constable of Lancaster Castle

Her Majesty the Queen, acting in her position as Duke of Lancaster has appointed Mrs Pam Barker DL to the position of Constable of Lancaster Castle following the retirement of Mr Gordon Arthur Johnson.

Queen’s Medal for Music 2013

Her Majesty the Queen has awarded The Queen’s Medal for Music to the opera singer and Director Sir Thomas Allen CBE.

The Award was established in 2005 and is given to groups or individuals for outstanding contribution to music.

Sir Thomas Allen will be presented with his award by The Queen later this year.
