Her Majesty the Queen Revokes Honours

Her Majesty The Queen has decreed that the following persons shall have their Honour cancelled, annulled and their name shall be erased from the Register of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire.

Mr Malcolm Belchamber to be stripped of an MBE awarded on 30th December 2004.
Mr Derek Charles Eaglestone to be stripped of an MBE awarded on 10th June 1994.
Mr Trevor George Francis to be stripped of an MBE awarded on 15th June 2012.
Ms Anne Ganley to be stripped of an OBE awarded on 28th December 2012.
Mr David John Kemp to be stripped of an MBE awarded on 30th December 2013.
Ms Paula Marie Vasco-Knight to be stripped of an CBE awarded on 30th December 2013.

Her Majesty the Queen Revokes Top Policeman’s Honour

Her Majesty the Queen has decreed that the award of the Queen’s Police Medal (QPM) to Mr Nicholas James Gargan on the 30th December 2011 shall be cancelled and annulled. Mr Gargan, former Chief Constable of Avon and Somerset police constabulary was stripped of his honour after being found guilty of multiple counts of misconduct.

Her Majesty The Queen Revokes Corrupt Servant’s MVO

Her Majesty The Queen has decreed that the following person shall have their Honour cancelled, annulled and their name shall be erased from the Register of the Royal Victorian Order.

Mr Ronald Clifford Harper to be stripped of an MVO awarded on 31st December 2004 after being convicted of two counts of conspiracy to make corrupt payments. He was sentenced to five years in Prison.

Her Majesty The Queen has decreed that the following persons shall have their Honour cancelled, annulled and their name shall be erased from the Register of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire.

Mr Lee Anthony Bushill to be stripped of an MBE awarded on 31st December 2004.

Mr Robert Neville James Constable to be stripped of an MBE awarded on 1st January 1975 after being convicted of 15 charges of indecent assault, three charges of indecency with a child and five charges of sexual assault. The offences took place between 1993 and October 2015. He was sentenced to a total of thirteen years and six months in prison.

Mr Adrian Lee Stone to be stripped of an MBE awarded on 16th June 2012 after being convicted of six charges of sexual assault on children. He was sentenced to a total of 40 months in prison.

Mr Robert Stanley Poots to be stripped of an MBE awarded on 31st December 2010 after being convicted of 14 charges including fraud by false representation, false accounting and forgery. The offences took place between October 2006 and November 2011. He was sentenced to an 18-month suspended prison sentence.

Mr Craig Martin Burrows to be stripped of an MBE awarded on 31st December 2004 after being convicted of six charges of indecent assault and three counts of indecency with a child. He was sentenced to five years in prison.

Mr Philip Anthony Knight to be stripped of an OBE awarded on 16th June 2001.

Mr Robert Lovegrove to be stripped of an MBE awarded on 13th June 1998.

Mr Patrick Robert John Rock to be stripped of an OBE awarded on 31st December 1992 after being convicted of five charges of downloading indecent images of Children. He was sentenced to a two-year conditional discharge.

Ms Philippa Ann Rodale to be stripped of an MBE awarded on 29th December 2007 after being convicted of animal welfare offences. She was ordered to pay the RSPCA £4000 and £535 in court fees.

Mr Paul Symonds to be stripped of an OBE awarded on 29th December 2007 after allegations that Mr Symonds sexual abused children whilst he was an active Roman Catholic priest. He has since retired and no criminal charges were brought against him.

The Queen Revokes Former Prime Minister of the Solomon Islands Knighthood

Her Majesty The Queen has signed Letters Patent to cancel and annul the Knight Bachelor awarded to Mr Allan Kemakeza on the 16 June 2001, for services to policing and politics.

Mr Allan Kemakeza served as Prime Minister of the Solomon Islands from the 17 December 2001 to the 20 April 2006.

Queen Revokes Former Mayor of Scunthorpe’s MBE

Her Majesty The Queen has decreed that the following person shall have their Honour cancelled, annulled and their name shall be erased from the Register of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire.

Mr Jawaid Mohammed Ishaq to be stripped of an MBE awarded on 17th June 2000 after being convicted of five counts of fraud, three counts of theft, and one count of perverting the course of justice and has been sentenced to three and a half years in Prison.

Queen Revokes Head Teacher’s CBE

The Queen has accepted the Honours Forfeiture Committee’s advice regarding the cancellation and annulment of the honour awarded to the following person.

Ms Joanne Shuter is to be stripped of her CBE, awarded on the 12 June 2010 after pleading guilty at a National College for Teaching and Leadership misconduct hearing and has been banned from teaching indefinitely.

Queen Revokes disgrace’s Stars Honour

The Queen has accepted the Honours Forfeiture Committee’s advice regarding the cancellation and annulment of the honour awarded to the following person.

Mr Rolf Harris is to be stripped of his CBE awarded on the 17 June 2006 after being found guilty of 12 counts of indecent assault on children. He was sentenced to a total of five years and nine months in prison.

Queen Revokes Nurse’s Knighthood

The Queen has accepted the Honours Forfeiture Committee’s advice regarding the cancellation and annulment of the honour awarded to the following person.

George Castledine is to be stripped of his Knighthood awarded on the 15 June 2007 after being found guilty by the Nursing and Midwifery Council for misconduct with a female patient and has been struck off the nursing register.

The Queen has accepted the Honours Forfeiture Committee’s advice regarding the cancellation and annulment of honours awarded to the Following.

Mr Henry Duncan Blackley to be stripped of an MBE awarded on 15th June 2002.

Mr John Stewart Briggs to be stripped of an MBE awarded on 14th June 2003 after being convicted of nine charges of indecent assault on children under the age of sixteen. He was sentenced to a total of eight years in prison.

Mr Daniel Harold Bryant to be stripped of a BEM awarded on 15th June 1985 after being convicted of ten charges of indecent assault on children under the age of sixteen. He was sentenced to a total of six years six months in prison.

Queen Revokes Headmaster’s Knighthood

The Queen has accepted the Honours Forfeiture Committee’s advice regarding the cancellation and annulment of the honour awarded to the following person.

Alan Seymour Davies is to be stripped of his Knighthood awarded on the 22nd February 2000 after being convicted of multiply counts of false accounting. He was given a 12-month sentence which has been suspended for two years.

Disgraced Former minister Chris Huhne’s ex-wife stripped of CB

The Queen has accepted the Honours Forfeiture Committee’s advice and decreed that Mrs Vicky Pryce is to be stripped of the Companion of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath (CB) awarded to her on the 13 June 2009 following her conviction for perverting the course of justice. Her honour has been cancelled and annulled and her name shall cease to be on the register of The Most Honourable Order of the Bath.

Queen Revokes Bankers Knighthood

Her Majesty the Queen has issued Letters Patent annulling the honour of Knight Bachelor awarded on 6th December 2006 to Mr James Robert Crosby former chief executive of HBOS. Mr Crosby offed to renounce his knighthood following a damming report into the collapse HBOS and his role as chief executive.
