Her Majesty The Queen has granted The Right Honourable Sir Alan Gordon Barraclough Haselhurst the title of Baron Haselhurst, of Saffron Walden in the County of Essex for the duration of his life under the Life Peerage Act of 1958.
He was nominated for a Life Peerage following his service as a Member of Parliament. Lord Haselhurst will sit in the House of Lords for the Conservative Party.
