Life Peerage for the Former Private Secretary to Her Majesty the Queen

Her Majesty The Queen has granted The Rt Hon. Sir Christopher Edward Wollaston MacKenzie Geidt GCVO KCB OBE the title of Baron Geidt, of Crobeg in the County of Ross and Cromarty for the duration of his life under the Life Peerage Act of 1958.

Sir Christopher was nominated for a Life Peerage following his retirement as Private Secretary to Her Majesty the Queen.

Lord Geidt will sit in the House of Lords as a Crossbencher.

The Rt Hon. Sir Christopher Geidt KCB KCVO OBE has been appointed Knight Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order (GCVO) for his service as Private Secretary to Her Majesty The Queen.
