Life Peerage for the Outgoing Governor of the Bank of England

Sir Mervyn Allister King GBE has been granted the title of Baron King of Lothbury, of Lothbury in the City of London. Under the Life Peerage Act 1958 and will sit in the House of Lords as a Crossbencher.
