Life Peerage for Founder of the Rumi Foundation

Rumi Verjee CBE has been granted the title of Baron Verjee, of Portobello in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. Under the Life Peerage Act 1958 and will sit in the House of Lords as a Liberal Democrat.
