New Honorary Chaplain to The Queen

Her Majesty the Queen has appointed The Venerable P. A. Eagles Honorary Chaplain to her household in succession to The Reverend Father A. B. Paris.

Queen’s Medal for Music 2013

Her Majesty the Queen has awarded The Queen’s Medal for Music to the opera singer and Director Sir Thomas Allen CBE.

The Award was established in 2005 and is given to groups or individuals for outstanding contribution to music.

Sir Thomas Allen will be presented with his award by The Queen later this year.

New British Ambassador to Vietnam

Mr Giles Lever has been appointed Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam succeeding Dr Antony Stokes LVO who is stepping down in July 2014.

Mr Giles Lever is currently the Deputy High Commissioner to Federal Republic of Nigeria.

New British High Commissioner to Rwanda

Mr William Gelling OBE has been appointed Her Majesty’s High Commissioner to Republic of Rwanda succeeding Benedict Llewellyn-Jones who is stepping down in January 2014.

Mr William Gelling OBE was Private Secretary to the Foreign Secretary The Rt Hon William Hague MP.

Her Majesty the Queen has appointed Colonel A. T. G. Cash Aide-de-Camp to her household in succession to Colonel M. C. Whiteside OBE ADC.
