Life Peerage for Norfolk Businessman

Her Majesty The Queen has granted Sir Theodore Thomas More Agnew DL the title of Baron Agnew of Oulton, of Oulton in the County of Norfolk for the duration of his life under the Life Peerage Act of 1958.

Sir Theodore was nominated for a Life Peerage by the Prime Minister following his appointment to the Government as Parliamentary Under-Secretary in the Department for Education.

As Sir Theodore is not a Member of Parliament (MP) he has to be appointed to the House of Lords so he can take his role in the Government.

Lord Agnew of Oulton DL will sit in the House of Lords on behalf of the Conservative Party.
