Honorary CVO for Architect of Poundbury

Professor Leon Krier, has been appointed an Honorary Commander of the Royal Victorian Order (CVO) for his service as Architect of Poundbury.

The town of Poundbury is an urban development built on Duchy of Cornwall land under guiding principles set out by the Prince of Wales.

Dr David Michael Dixon OBE was appointed Lieutenant of the Royal Victorian Order (LVO) for his service as Medical Adviser to The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall.

Prince George of Cambridge’s Christening

Prince George of Cambridge’s christening will be held today at Chapel Royal within St James’s Palace. The service will take place at 15:00 BST and last about 45 minutes.

The service will be officiated by the Archbishop of Canterbury The Most Revd and Rt Hon Justin Welby. The Queen, Prince Philip, Prince Charles, The Duchess of Cornwall and Prince Harry will be attending the service. Clarence House has announced the photographer’s name as Jason Bell Esq.

Prince George will be wearing a replica of a christening gown commissioned by Queen Victoria in 1841 for her daughter Victoria.

The 2013 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting

Buckingham Palace has announced Her Majesty’s decision not to attend the Commonwealth Summit in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Her Majesty is sending His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales as her representative at the summit accompanied by The Duchess of Cornwall. The Summit will take place from the 15th-17th November 2013.

New Communications Secretary to the Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall

Ms Sally Osman has been appointed Communications Secretary to the Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall’s Household. Ms Osman is currently Director of Corporate Communications for Sony’s European division. Ms Osman assumes her appointment in June this year.
