Life Peerage for Former Director General of MI5

Sir Jonathan Douglas Evans KCB has been granted the title of Baron Evans of Weardale, of Toys Hill in the County of Kent. Under the Life Peerage Act 1958 and will sit in the House of Lords as a Crossbencher.
