On the 23rd February 2024, His Majesty The King has decreed that the following persons shall have their Honour cancelled, annulled and their name shall be erased from the Register of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire.
Ms Paula Anne Vennells to be stripped of an CBE awarded on 29th December 2018.
Mr Hugh Richard Vaughan Morgan-Williams to be stripped of an OBE awarded on 14th June 2008.
Mr Richard Cowie to be stripped of an MBE awarded on 30th December 2017.

New Member of the United Kingdom Privy Council
On the 9th February 2024, His Majesty the King approved the following person member of Her Majesty’s most Honourable Privy Council.

New Lord-Lieutenant of Shetland
Mr Lindsay William Tulloch QPM DL was appointed by the King to become Lord-Lieutenant of Shetland when Mr Robert Walter Hunter CVO retired on the 3rd of April 2024.

His Majesty the King appointed His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh to the position of Lord High Commissioner to the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland for 2024.
