Queen Margrethe II of Denmark's nephew set to marry

(HSH) Gustav, Prince of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg, Head of the House of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg will marry his girlfriend Ms Carina Axelsson on June 4th 2022 at Berleburg castle. Prince Gustav is the son of (HSH) Richard, Prince of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg and his wife HRH Princess Benedikte of Denmark.

Prince Gustav and Carina have been together since 2003, but have been unble to marry because of a clause in Prince Gustav's grandfather's will. The clause would have disinherited Gustav should he had married Carina. Following a court case Prince Gustav has now secured his inheritance and can now marry Carina. 

Her Serene Highness Princess Victoria Romanovna is Pregnant

HIH Grand Duke George of Russia, heir to HIH The Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna of Russia, has announced that his wife HSH Princess Victoria Romanovna is expecting a baby in the autumn of 2022. 

Grand Duke George's mother Grand Duchess Maria is widely regarded as Head of the House of Romanov. Although this is disputed by some wider members of the Romanov family, questioning if Maria's claim complies with the Pauline laws that dictate the succession of the House of Romanov.

Grand Duchess Maria descends from Alexander II of Russia via his son HIH Grand Duke Vladimir Alexandrovich of Russia. Grand Duke George's father is HRH Prince Franz Wilhelm of Prussia, who is a great-grandson of the last German Emperor and King of Prussia, Wilhelm II.

New Great-Granddaughter of King Alexander I of Yugoslavia

His Royal Highness Prince Michael and Her Royal Highness Princess Ljubica of Yugoslavia have had a second child. A baby girl named Isidora, born 17th May 2022. Baby Isidora's arrival was announced on the Royal family's website. Prince Michael and Princess Ljubica married in 2016, they had their first child HRH Princess Natalija of Yugoslavia in 2018.

Prince Michael is the youngest child of HRH Prince Tomislav of Yugoslavia and Ms Linda Mary Bonney, and the paternal grandson of King Alexander I of Yugoslavia and Queen Maria of Yugoslavia (nee Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen).

Prince Michael is the Great-Great-Great Grandson of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert via HRH Prince Alfred, Duke of Edinburgh later the Duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha.

The Countess of Wessex and Forfar Promoted Dame Grand Cross

On the 14th of April 2022 Her Majesty the Queen promoted Her Royal Highness The Countess of Wessex and Forfar GCVO DStJ CD to Dame Grand Cross of the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem (GCStJ). Before her promotion Her Royal Highness was Dame of Justice of the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem (DStJ) which she received in April 2005.

Her Royal Highness is the Grand President of St John Ambulance, which forms a key part of the work the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem does.
