Queen Appoints New Lord High Commissioner to the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland

Her Majesty the Queen has appointed Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal KG KT GCVO GCStJ GCL CD to the position of Lord High Commissioner to the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland for 2017.

Princess Anne will be the Queen’s personal representative within the Church of Scotland. As the Lord High Commissioner, Princess Anne will carry out the opening and closing addresses at the General Assembly.
