New Constable of Caernarfon Castle

Her Majesty the Queen has appointed Mr Edmund Bailey to the office of Constable of Caernarfon Castle in succession to Lord Snowdon GCVO who passed away on the 13th January 2017.

The Rt Hon. The Earl of Snowdon the former husband of Her Majesty the Queen’s Sister Princess Margaret has passed away today at the age of 86 a family spokesperson has just announced.

His only legitimate son David Albert Charles Armstrong-Jones, Viscount Linley will succeed him as the 2nd Earl of Snowdon. David’s only son Charles Patrick Inigo Armstrong-Jones will now use the courtesy title of Viscount Linley. Charles’s sister will be now known as Lady Margarita Armstrong-Jones.
