Her Majesty the Queen has appointed The Rt Hon. The Lord Vestey GCVO GCStJ to the position of Permanent Lord in Waiting to Her Majesty the Queen.
A Lord in Waiting is someone who helps the Sovereign with various duties a notably one being meeting visiting foreign heads of state as they arrived into the UK.
