Her Majesty the Queen Appoints New UK Prime Minster
Mr David Cameron MP has tendered his resignation as Prime Minster to Her Majesty the Queen after the announcement that Mrs Theresa May MP has become new Leader of the Conservative party.
Mrs Theresa May MP became the Leader of the Conservative party following David Cameron’s resignation from that role and subsequently won an election within the party to be its new leader.
Her Majesty Queen has asked the new Leader of the Conservative party Mrs Theresa May MP to form a new government because her party commands a majority in the House of Commons.
Mrs May and has accepted The Queens offer and has been appointed Prime Minster of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and by virtue of that office has become First Lord of the Treasury and Minister for the Civil Service.
